Gadopentetic Acid - Gadolinium-Based Contrast Agent
Enhanced Clarity. Trusted Safety. Proven Imaging.
GADOBRIGHT (Gadopentetic acid) is a gadolinium-based contrast agent used primarily in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to enhance the visibility of blood vessels and diseased or inflamed tissues. It forms a stable complex with diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (DTPA), which reduces toxicity and allows it to shorten the T1 relaxation time of water protons, resulting in clearer, more detailed MRI images.
Typically administered intravenously, Gadopentetic acid is especially useful for detecting abnormalities in the brain, spinal cord, and blood-brain barrier. Despite its effectiveness, caution is advised in patients with impaired kidney function due to the risk of nephrogenic systemic fibrosis.
